SAITO, Japan -- A Japanese startup has developed an innovative approach to efficiently cultivate large larvae known as giant mealworms -- dubbed superworms -- that eventually mature to become darkling beetles, extracting oil to produce biofuels such as sustainable aviation fuel and thereby enhancing production efficiency.
