HONG KONG -- Kweichow Moutai, the leading distiller of Chinese baijiu liquor, reported solid first-half results that sent its share price higher on Friday, although a look across the industry suggests the frontrunner's improving fortunes do not necessarily signal a recovery in the country's consumption.
