The yen has fallen faster against other currencies since Sanae Takaichi was elected as Japan's prime minister as she pushes for an expansionary fiscal policy.

TOKYO -- The Japanese yen is declining rapidly against the dollar. While the currency's depreciation has led to speculation about the possibility of intervention in the foreign exchange market, it has also raised hopes among exporters for stronger earnings.
