KUALA LUMPUR -- When Penang native Lim Pinn Yang started a food blog in 2016, it was not to chase clicks or viral fame. Then a 23-year-old working in digital marketing at Tencent's WeChat office in Kuala Lumpur, Lim wanted to help his father, who sold Hainanese chicken rice at a morning market, keep up with the digital age.
