Tokyo's new house prices hit fresh high as buyers look beyond condos

TOKYO -- The average listing price of new houses in Tokyo increased 2.4% on the month in February to a record 78.59 million yen ($534,000), a new survey found, driven largely by demand for homes within an easy commute to the heart of the city.
