TOKYO -- Japan's anime, film and manga industries are enjoying a moment in the spotlight following Oscar wins for Hayao Miyazaki's "The Boy and the Heron" and Takashi Yamazaki's "Godzilla Minus One," and a global outpouring of respect following the death of "Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama.
