DALLAS, Texas -- Seven & i Holdings will open 500 convenience stores featuring an improved lineup of food in the U.S. by 2027, as the Japanese retail group looks to boost its competitiveness in the face of a $47 billion takeover bid from Canada's Alimentation Couche-Tard.
