BANGKOK -- Central Pattana, the property development arm of Thai retail conglomerate Central Group, is investing 21 billion baht ($640 million) to build a mega shopping mall in Bangkok's rapidly developing northern district -- a location well-connected to an international airport -- in hopes of attracting affluent shoppers and foreign tourists.
