Japan retailer Aeon overhauls logistics to ease driver shortage

Aeon, Japan's largest supermarket chain, has announced steps to reduce the workload on drivers in line with legal limits on overtime hours that will take effect in April 2024.

TOKYO -- Japanese retail group Aeon will begin overhauling its logistics next spring at around 3,300 of its domestic stores to deal with the legal cap on driver overtime, which takes effect next April.
