TOKYO -- Seven & i Holdings, owner of the 7-Eleven convenience store chain, has said it will sharpen its focus on its core convenience store business as it scrambles to raise its corporate value, a task that has become more pressing with a takeover bid by Canadian convenience store operator Alimentation Couche-Tard.
