TOKYO -- The Japanese government will provide homegrown chipmaker Rapidus, which aims to mass-produce cutting-edge semiconductors, with around 1 trillion yen ($6.37 billion) in additional aidĀ over the two years ending fiscal 2027 under measures announced Friday.
