SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Nvidia plans to procure high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips, a crucial component in AI processors, from Samsung as the South Korean electronics giant tries to catch up with rival SK Hynix, which recently started mass production of its next-generation HBM chip.
