SENDAI, Japan -- Chipmaking equipment maker Tokyo Electron said Monday it will spend roughly 22 billion yen ($167 million) to build a production facility in northeast Japan in anticipation of renewed demand from the semiconductor industry.
Production expected to begin in 2025, boosting capacity by 50%
