WASHINGTON -- The Trump administration's recently announced cancellation of an artificial intelligence rule from the last days of the Biden administration reflects a shift from the latter's values-based approach, which rewarded democracies, to an interests-based approach that includes deals with more authoritarian-leaning states, analysts say.
