BARCELONA, Spain/PALO ALTO, California -- The world's top chipmaker, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., will invest at least an additional $100 billion for new chipmaking facilities and packaging plants in America, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Monday, in a bid to onshore vital AI chip production.
