TOKYO -- Sakana AI, a Tokyo-based startup valued at more than $1 billion, is expanding its business by taking advantage of the nation's geopolitical prerogatives. The unicorn is promoting the development of artificial intelligence (AI) unique to Japan by making use of U.S. and Chinese technologies.
