HONG KONG -- Baidu co-founder and CEO Robin Li now sees open-sourcing of artificial intelligence models as crucial to their wider adoption in a lesson learned from DeepSeek's emergence, in sharp contrast to the tech billionaire's previous insistence that only closed-source models can generate profits.
