KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia on Wednesday announced a partnership with SoftBank's chip design unit Arm Holdings to establish an ASEAN and Oceania base of operations, marking a significant step in the country's push to move up the semiconductor and artificial intelligence chip supply chains.
