NAGOYA, Japan -- Boosting international operations is a priority for Japan's Chubu Airport which celebrated its 20th anniversary on Feb. 17. Although the airport in central Japan's Aichi prefecture has been focused on expanding its passenger services, the recovery of inbound travelers remains sluggish in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, demand for flights to North America and China has yet to resume fully while competition with its local rivals is set to intensify.
