Japan's KDDI to take part in Philippines' first subway project

Carrier to help construct telecom infrastructure for Metro Manila development

TOKYO -- Japanese telecommunications company KDDI announced Monday that it will help develop the first subway in Manila by constructing telecom and fare collection systems, as part of a national project to ease traffic congestion and air pollution in the metropolitan area.
