MIYAZAKI, Japan -- Miyazaki prefecture, on Japan's southernmost main island of Kyushu, is leveraging anime and manga for tourism promotion through public-private partnerships. One such initiative is in the mountain-ringed town of Takachiho, nestled in the prefecture's northwest, which is attracting fans from around the world of the popular anime "Oshi No Ko" with a campaign featuring limited-edition merchandise.
