NAGANO, Japan -- The central Japanese city of Nagano is tapping the rich history of its atmospheric Matsushiro district to lure overseas visitors, aiming to give travelers a taste of the past through "deep-dive" guided tours and meals based on the dining habits of a 19th century feudal lord.
