Tokyo Disney's hometown eyes lodging tax to ease local burdens

CHIBA, Japan -- The Japanese city of Urayasu -- home to Tokyo Disney Resort -- is preparing to start taxing tourists as early as fiscal 2026 to better balance the needs of its residents and almost 30 million yearly visitors.
