MUMBAI -- Growth in India's private sector slowed slightly in September after hitting an almost two-decade high the preceding month, as new export orders were trimmed in the face of a new 50% U.S. tariff rate. However, government moves to lower consumption tax rates offset the tariff impact to some extent.
