TOKYO -- A string of powerful tornadoes struck the U.S. Midwest and South on Friday, leaving a trail of death, injuries and property damage. Using satellite images of the damage on the ground and cloud movements, Nikkei tracked the intensity of what was, in the words of President Joe Biden, "one of the largest" tornado outbreaks in U.S. history.
