Resilient China and U.S. lift IMF global economic outlook for 2024

Growth forecasts also upgraded for India, ASEAN-5 but cut for Japan

NEW YORK -- The International Monetary Fund raised its global growth forecast for 2024, pointing to the better-than-expected performance of the U.S. and Chinese economies last year, as Asian emerging and developing markets remain the driving force.
