TOKYO -- Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said Sunday he is hopeful of a deal that would keep U.S. Steel as "an American company," given President Donald Trump's intervention over Nippon Steel's ambition to acquire the Pittsburgh-based steelmaker.
