Koizumi eyes solar and wind power in parks for zero-carbon push

TOKYO -- Japan will cut red tape to encourage the building of geothermal, solar and wind energy capacity in national parks as part of the country's plans to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, Environment Minister Shinjiro Koizumi told Nikkei.
