SUVA, Fiji -- Palau plans to maintain diplomatic relations with Taiwan despite pressure from China, the president of the Pacific island nation told Nikkei Asia on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF), which includes Australia and New Zealand.
