US semiconductor tariffs would have limited impact on TSMC: Taiwan official

TOKYO -- Even if the Trump administration imposes its threatened chip tariffs, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. would not be heavily affected, according to Liu Chin-ching, the minister in charge of Taiwan's National Development Council.
