HONG KONG -- Japanese instant noodle brand "Demae Iccho" is a favorite among Hong Kongers, and its manufacturer, Nissin Foods Holdings, controls some 60% of the local market. Last December, Nissin listed its Chinese unit, which also oversees the group's Hong Kong operations, on the Hong Kong stock exchange. The move comes at a time of slow growth for the Chinese instant noodle market, after it peaked in 2013.
