Why Japan's Noh theater is cool in Azerbaijan

I recently took a much younger friend to a Noh performance in Tokyo. Within a few minutes of sitting down, she fell into a deep slumber. After it was over, I asked how she liked it. She laughed: "It was interesting, but definitely not fun!"
