JINGDEZHEN, China -- The mass production of ceramic goods at state-run factories all over China could have been bad news for the city known as the nation's porcelain capital. But Jingdezhen, in the country's east, has managed to shake off that threat by crafting interest in its traditional culture to lure artistically-inclined people both from home and abroad.
