Years ago, I made the mistake of trying to mail from Vietnam a children's book that contained colorful drawings and, as it turned out, a lurking threat. I listed the contents of my parcel for a post office worker, who saw that I had written cuon sach (book) and promptly ripped open the box to check what literature I was trying to disseminate.
