Toward sustainable sushi: UN establishes World Tuna Day

Move a response to the growing threats to the fish's long-term viability

UNITED NATIONS -- As a number of endangered tuna species struggle for survival, the United Nations General Assembly agreed Wednesday to designate May 2 as World Tuna Day to raise awareness of the value of tuna and the threats facing the fish's sustainability.
