COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka's President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will step down on Wednesday, the country's parliamentary speaker said on Saturday, just hours after thousands of Sri Lankan protesters marched to Colombo, storming his official residence and office and demanding his resignation.
