Pakistan puts on brave face in fight against Taliban

NEW DELHI -- Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Dec. 17 pledged to go after terrorist groups following an attack the previous day against a military-run school in the northern city of Peshawar by the Pakistani Taliban that killed more than 140 people, mostly children.

Sharif declared that there are no distinctions between "good and bad Taliban." The government has "resolved to continue the war against terrorism until the last terrorist is eliminated," he said in a meeting with lawmakers from all parties.
