Japan's cyberwarriors gird for a fight ahead of the 2020 Olympics

TOKYO   The 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo will be an ideal showcase for technology, or so high-tech companies hope. But planes, trains and self-driving cars are also tempting targets for cyberpranksters, activists and terrorists.

For the athletes and fans, it is the competition on the field or in the water that matters. Japan's cybersecurity experts, meanwhile, will be matching wits with hackers in their own shadowy arena, working to ensure the games go off safely and without a hitch. These efforts are taking place amid an upsurge in cyberattacks on Japanese companies and government bodies.
