While the term "halal" is perhaps most closely associated with the dietary restrictions of Sharia, or Islamic law, anything from toiletries to tourism can be deemed compliant. And with demand for halal-certified goods and services growing in Asia -- home to over 60% of the world's Muslim population -- companies are gearing up to cash in.
