Market capitalization is one of the most universal yardsticks for measuring the strength of listed companies. In this issue, we look at which business leaders in Asia have delivered the greatest gains in corporate value for their stakeholders.

The Nikkei Asian Review selected these MVPs (major value producers) from our Asia300 list of leading companies, with a focus on long-term performance.

The result is a list of Asia's 20 most prominent value creators. It features corporate heavyweights and rising stars from India to Indonesia and South Korea to Singapore, and operating in everything from internet and IT services to food and finance.
