Liberal Moon Jae-in leads the presidential field in South Korea

The front-runner looks poised to bring his liberal vision to the country

SEOUL South Korea's largest opposition group, the Democratic Party of Korea, on April 3 chose Moon Jae-in as its presidential nominee.

Moon, a former party leader, received 57% of the votes cast in the Democratic Party primaries, winning the nomination in a landslide.
