Bain's new global chief expects big things from Asia

Manny Maceda says the consultancy aims to double regional revenue in a 'few years'

TOKYO When Bain & Co. chose Tokyo as the venue for a planning session for the entire Asia-Pacific region at the end of February, it was for a reason: Japan posted the biggest growth for the Boston-based management consultancy last year.

"You'd be surprised [that] the fastest-growing country for us as a company was this one," said Manny Maceda, who formally became Bain's worldwide managing director on March 1.
