Erectile dysfunction drugs fast-tracked, but hard to get emergency contraception

Japan began a trial for over-the-counter (OTC) emergency contraceptives in December 2023, but the implementation has been limited. Only 145 pharmacies (0.3% of the nation's 60,000) are participating, and it is still unclear when and how the decision to make it an OTC drug will be made.
