Trump assassination attempt is threat to democracy

Forcible oppression of free speech must not be tolerated

Former U.S. President Donald Trump was shot and injured at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. The incident happened just as the Republican Party was about to officially nominate him to be the candidate for the next presidential election at its national convention. This attempt to oppress free speech by force is a challenge to democracy and must not be tolerated. We strongly oppose this brutal act.
