Masafumi Ishii is a special adjunct professor with the faculty of law of Gakushuin University in Tokyo and previously served as Japan's ambassador to NATO. Brad Glosserman is deputy director of Tama University's Center for Rule-Making Strategies in Tokyo and a visiting professor there. He is also the author of "Peak Japan: The End of Great Ambitions."
