WASHINGTON -- If former U.S. President Donald Trump is elected a second time this November, he should "indicate that he is not going to allow Beijing to wage war in the western Pacific," including invading Taiwan, said Matt Pottinger, China program chairman at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank here.
