HONG KONG -- Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and other leaders from Latin America in Beijing on Tuesday, pledging to them a 66 billion yuan ($9.2 billion) credit line, at a time when the U.S. is ramping up pressure on the region.
