NEW DELHI -- With India hit hard by U.S. trade tariffs related to its oil imports from Russia, the country's prime minister, Narendra Modi, and Russian President Vladimir Putin held summit talks in New Delhi on Friday and agreed to deepen bilateral ties, including an effort to expand trade by more than 50% within five years, deepen energy-related cooperation and rearrange defense relations.
