Japan eyes legislative support for next-gen chip production

TOKYO -- The Japanese government plans to push legislation supporting manufacturing of next-generation chips used in artificial intelligence and electric vehicles, according to a draft of its annual economic and fiscal policy plan obtained by Nikkei.
