TOKYO -- After 12 days of campaigning by five candidates, Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party is set to choose its new leader on Saturday. While the vote is only open to LDP lawmakers and rank-and-file party members, it is expected to have wide implications as the winner is likely to become the East Asian nation's next prime minister.
